Google BusinessProfile suspended?
Your Google Business Profile was suspended and the calls stopped. Here's how reinstatement works, why it happens, what the odds really are, and a fixed fee if you want it handled.
- Month to month after 3 months
- No exit fee
- You own it all
Do this first
Most denied appeals are made worse in the first hour. Before you touch anything:
- Don't delete the profile and don't create a new one. A second listing for the same business looks like a duplicate, and duplicates are their own violation. Your reviews live on the old one.
- Don't start editing. A burst of changes to name, address or categories while suspended can read as the same problem again.
- Don't appeal yet. Find out what the violation is and fix it first. Appeals are limited, and an appeal on an unfixed profile usually gets denied.
- Write down what changed recently. New address, new name, new phone, new categories, a new manager added, a video verification. The trigger is often the last thing that changed.
Why it happened
Google's notice often just says the profile doesn't follow the guidelines, or flags "deceptive content" without saying what. The usual causes for contractors:
Deceptive-content flags
Keywords or city names in the business name that aren't on your sign or registration ("Best AC Repair Miami"). A name, phone or website that doesn't match your other records. Too many edits at once.
Service-area eligibility
A service business showing a street address where customers don't visit, or a service area far from where the business is based. Contractors who go to the customer should hide the address and set a service area.
Address problems
Virtual offices, coworking desks, mail drops, a PO box, or an address that changed without proof. Moving to a new address is one of the most common triggers we see in reports from other contractors.
Duplicates and linked accounts
Two listings for one business, or a manager on your profile whose own Google account was suspended. Removing that manager is part of the fix.
High-risk trades
Trades that attract spam listings get extra scrutiny. Locksmiths and garage door companies are the best-known examples, and HVAC, plumbing and electrical owners report new listings being suspended right after verification, even when the business is legitimate.
How reinstatement works
First, find the violation.
The appeals tool in your Business Profile sometimes names it. When it says "no info found", we work it out from the profile's history, your records and what changed recently.
Then, fix it for real.
Name matches your registration and signage. Address is a real staffed location, or hidden if customers don't come to you. Categories and service areas are accurate. Duplicates merged or removed. Nothing that bends Google's guidelines, because that's how profiles get suspended again.
After that, one complete appeal.
With evidence that matches the profile exactly: business license or state registration, a utility bill or lease in the business name, photos of your sign or lettered vehicle. Submitted once, complete.
Then wait, and follow up.
Reviews can take days to several weeks. If it's denied, there are sometimes further review routes through Business Profile support; we use them when the case is solid.
The honest odds
There's no published success rate, and anyone quoting one is guessing. What decides it is whether the business really meets Google's rules.
Good chance: a real business with a fixable mistake. A keyword in the name, an address shown when it should be hidden, a move with paperwork to prove it, a bad manager account. These are often reinstated once the cause is fixed and the evidence matches.
Hard: profiles with several past suspensions, unclear ownership, or no documents in the business name. Possible, but slower, and sometimes it doesn't come back.
Not taken on: profiles at virtual offices, mailbox addresses or addresses the business doesn't really use, or listings for businesses that don't exist as listed. We won't help put those back, because they'd break Google's rules.
We tell you which group you're in after the first look, before you're committed to anything beyond the first half of the fee.
Reinstatement
$497 flat
Half up front, half when the profile is reinstated.
If it stays suspended after a full appeal, you get a partial refund. We never say reinstatement is guaranteed, because nobody outside Google can make that true.
Included: finding the cause, fixing the profile within the guidelines, assembling the evidence, writing and submitting the appeal, and following up. Ongoing management after it's back is optional.
Suspension questions
The free audit answers most of these for your business specifically.
Why was my Google Business Profile suspended?
For contractors, it's usually one of five things: words in the business name that aren't your real name, an address that customers don't visit or that recently changed, a service area that doesn't match where you are, a duplicate listing, or a manager account with its own problems. Some trades also get flagged more often because of spam in their category.
How long does Google business profile reinstatement take?
Once a complete appeal is in, decisions often come within days to a few weeks. The slow part is usually before the appeal: finding the real cause and getting documents that match.
My appeal was denied. Is it over?
Not always. A denied appeal on a profile that still had the problem can sometimes be reviewed again once the problem is fixed and the evidence is better. If the business doesn't meet the guidelines, though, more appeals won't change the answer.
Should I just make a new profile?
No. A new profile for the same business is a duplicate, which is its own violation, and you lose your reviews. It often gets suspended too.
The appeals tool says "no info found." What now?
That's common. It doesn't mean nothing is wrong; it means the tool isn't showing the reason. We work from the profile history and your records, fix what's off, and use the Business Profile support routes instead.
Is the $497 refundable?
The first half covers the investigation and the appeal work. If the profile stays suspended after a full appeal, you get a partial refund. You pay the second half only when it's reinstated.
