SEO for auto shopsand dealers

SEO for auto repair shops, body shops and car dealers. A Google profile that wins "mechanic near me", service pages for the jobs that pay, and reviews that keep coming.

How drivers pick a shop

Most auto repair searches are urgent and local. The check-engine light is on, the brakes are grinding, and the driver picks from the map pack.

For an independent shop, the Google Business Profile does most of the work: the right categories, hours that match when you're open, photos of the bays, and a steady stream of reviews. Drivers read those reviews closely, because they're trusting you with an expensive problem they don't understand.

  • mechanic near me
  • brake repair [city]
  • check engine light diagnostic
  • transmission repair near me
  • auto body shop near me
  • oil change near me

Service pages for the expensive jobs

Oil changes bring people in. Brakes, transmissions, diagnostics, AC repair and collision work pay the bills. Each gets its own page with what the job involves, how long it takes and whether you give estimates.

Car dealer SEO is a different job

Dealerships compete on inventory, brand and service department searches. We focus on the parts a local team can win: the service department, the parts counter, the Google profile for each department, and pages for the towns your buyers drive in from. Inventory feeds stay with your dealer platform.

Reviews after every repair order

A text goes out when the car is picked up. No discounts for reviews; that's against Google's rules and drivers can tell.

Separate profiles where Google allows it

Dealers can often list sales, service and parts as separate departments. We set them up the way Google's guidelines describe.

Calls tracked by job type

Call tracking that shows which pages bring brake jobs and which bring tire-price shoppers, so new pages go where the money is.

Our terms

The deal, in writing

These are the contract terms, not sales lines. They're on the pricing page next to the prices and in the agreement you sign.

You own it

Your domain, website, hosting account, Google Business Profile and Analytics are in your name from day one. We work inside them as a manager you can remove.

Cancel by email

Three months minimum, then month to month. Send 30 days' notice by email. Billing stops on the cancel date.

No exit fee

Leaving costs nothing. No buyout of the rest of the year, no collections letter.

Your number

The call-tracking number is yours too. If you leave, we port it to you and the calls keep ringing your phone.

Your calls only

Calls come from your own listing and your own site, straight to you. Nothing is shared with or resold to other contractors.

Month one, or refund

If the setup work listed for your plan isn't delivered within 30 days, that month's fee comes back. We guarantee the work, never a ranking.

Reporting

What counts as a lead

A lead is a real call or form from your own tracking. Not a click, not an impression, not a ranking.

  • Counts: a call to the tracking number on your Google profile or website that connects for 30 seconds or more, or a form filled in on your site with a real name and a way to reach them.
  • Doesn't count: spam and robocalls, existing customers calling about an open job, wrong numbers, vendors, and the same person calling twice in a day.
  • Where the numbers come from: your Google Business Profile performance data, your Google Analytics 4 property and your call-tracking log. All three are in your name, so you can check every figure.

FAQ

Auto shop questions

The free audit answers most of these for your business specifically.

Is SEO worth it for a single-location repair shop?

Usually yes, because most of your customers live within a few miles and search on their phones. The Google profile and reviews do most of the work, which is why Map Pack at $497 a month fits most single shops.

Can you do SEO for a car dealership?

For the parts a local team controls: service department, parts, department profiles on Google, and pages for the towns your buyers come from. Your inventory platform still handles vehicle listings.

How do we get more Google reviews without breaking the rules?

Ask every customer, at the same point, with a direct link. A text at pickup works best. Offering discounts or only asking happy customers both break Google's policies.

Should we list prices on the website?

For common jobs, a range helps. Drivers searching brake repair costs click pages that answer the question, and the ones who call already know roughly what to expect.

Do you work with body shops?

Yes. Collision work has its own searches, insurance questions and photo needs, so it gets its own pages and profile categories.
